Product performance

Power Rating: The RX24 gold aluminum housing resistor delivers its rated power when the environment is at 25°C and the working conditions include a matched heat sink. If you do not match the heat sink, you must reduce the resistor’s load power accordingly.

Power Derating Curve: Rated power represents the maximum continuous load power the resistor can handle when the ambient temperature stays below 70°C (the recommended operating range), while maintaining its mechanical and electrical performance. When the ambient temperature exceeds 70°C, apply the power derating curve shown in the figure below.
